April 29 2019 Spring migration of Rainbow Trout begins. April 30 2019 Rainbow Trout utilizes the fishway during early morning hours. May 08 2019 Many Rainbow Trout use the fishway in the afternoon. Individual differences can be observed in colouration and fin characteristics. June 2 2019 A Rainbow Trout appears to be having difficulty locating the exit of the fishway, while a school of minnows enter from upstream. June 8 2019 Extended use of fishway by Brown Trout in the evening. June 30 2019 Two Rainbow smolts interact in the fishway. July 8 2019 Schools of minnows can be observed entering the fishway during the summer months. August 17 2019 Multiple Salmonid species are observed including Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout and Chinook Salmon. August 18 2019 A Brown Trout utilized the fishway with multiple Chinook Salmon including one with a lamprey attached. August 25 2019 A Chinook Salmon is observed with large hook wound near eye. September 06 2019 A Chinook Salmon migrates through the fishway carrying a hook and line with a small Salmon egg on it. September 20 2019 Juvenile Salmonids are observed using the fishway with ease while other Chinook Salmon appear to be having some difficulty. September 24 2019 A rare video of a Pink Salmon using the Thornbury fishway with other Salmonids. October 03 2019 Salmonids can be distinguished using various markings and colouration patterns including the fungus seen in these Chinook Salmon, as well as the spawning colouration of this Rainbow Trout. October 09 2019 A Chinook Salmon ascends the fishway. October 22 2019 Salmonids struggle to locate the exit the fishway under low light conditions and increase flow. October 23 2019 Multiple Rainbow Trout showing beautiful spawning colours. October 24 2019 Three lamprey scars are visible on this Chinook Salmon located near the pelvic and anal fins. Following two Rainbow Trout without any visible wounds. October 27 2019 Fall migration occurs both in Rainbow Trout and Chinook. The Rainbow Trout may spawn and over-winter in the river, while the Chinook Salmon dies after spawning.
