Rainbow Trout make several attempts to exit the fishway under cooler water temperatures.


October 14 2015

Peak passage of Salmonids occur at 14:00 hrs.


October 13 2015

Rainbow Trout ascend the fishway with minimal difficulty.

Numerous Chinook Salmon ascend the fishway, with peak passage occuring at 16:00 hours.

A Chinook Salmon with a Sea Lamprey attached ascends the fishway.

Native Silver Lampreys attached to a Rainbow Trout in poor condition.  An increase in hydrodynamic resistance and bio-energetic consequences due to lamprey attachment may result in prolonged passage.

Several large Rainbow Trout ascend the fishway, as they migrate to spawning habitat, in the late afternoon. One Rainbow Trout has a Silver Lamprey attached near the pectoral fin (15:33:00).

Rainbow Trout movement in the fishway is generally unidirectional and rapid.  


April 15 2015

Peak passage rate of Rainbow Trout occurred between 13:00 - 18:00 hrs.     


April 13 2015

A large Rainbow Trout slowly ascends the fishway in the early evening.
