2014, Kokish River Fishway, British Columbia - Vertical Slot Fishway

 

July 15 2014 Large Salmonids are observed using the fishway. These fish are from upstream, however, one adult falls back and demonstrates the power needed to swim back through the slot.  
July 27 2014 A Lamprey is seen swimming downstream in the fishway. It looks as if it is swimming towards the juvenile Salmonid. 

September 9 2014

A juvenile Salmonid shows some aggression against another inside a vertial slot fishway.
